Usually, as women, we have a desire to make our house a home. We're particular about the furniture, the paint, the carpet, the appliances, the bedding, the curtains—all the different things that come together to make a house a home.

  • How does it make you feel knowing that Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son, and that we are His house?

Take some time to write out your heart and pray through this with God, Yahweh.

Hebrews 3:1–6 | in case i forget

Moses is such an amazing character in God's great big story, but how great is he?

In this episode, we're jumping back into Hebrews chapter three and looking at why Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses. We're talking about the faithfulness of Jesus, what He accomplished for us, and what it means that Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son.

And I just think it's so beautiful that Jesus didn't leave us with the bones of a house and a foundation. He gave us Himself, and He uses us to furnish and finish the house.

IN THIS EPISODE
  • Jesus was faithful to the Father who appointed Him. He didn't take shortcuts or do things half-heartedly. He did what He was sent to do, to completion.

  • Jesus is greater than Moses. Moses was faithful in God's house as a servant, but Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son.

  • Jesus is enough. What Jesus did was enough to save us, sanctify us, justify us, and give us eternal life. We don't need to add to what He accomplished.

  • The house Jesus built. The builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. Jesus is the cornerstone, and the church is made up of individuals who belong to Him.

  • We are His house. Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son, and we are His house if we hold fast our confidence and our hope in Him.
