it started with the Israelites . . .

I was reading through Exodus when I got to the part where the Israelites were complaining in the wilderness.

God had just sent ten plagues for their freedom. He literally walked them through two walls of ocean on dry ground.

I was mid-thought about how ridiculous that was when the Holy Spirit stopped me cold. . .

"Miki. You literally do the same thing."

And out of that moment of conviction, in case i forget was born.

about Miki

I am a wife, a mom of three, a small business owner, a Liberty University student, and the daughter of missionaries who have spent 21 years serving a community in La Gonâve, Haiti through a clinic, a church, a school, and an orphanage. I grew up watching my parents trust God with things that had no business working out — and watching Him show up anyway. That is where the faith came from.

I am not a pastor. I am not a seminary professor. I am a woman who has been in the Word long enough to know that it changes you . . . and I cannot stop talking about it.

I teach from the leading of the Holy Spirit using Logos Bible Software for all of my theological research. I do not use AI to generate my teaching content. What you hear on this podcast was studied, prayed over, and brought to you as faithfully as I know how.

I am still learning. I will always tell you that. And I will always encourage you to take what I say back to the Word and see it for yourself. That is not a disclaimer. That is the whole point.

a note on Hope for Bethesda

My parents have spent 21 years serving the community of La Gonâve, Haiti through their organization Hope for Bethesda. They have built a clinic, a church, a school, and an orphanage in a place where most people said nothing could be built.

One time my mom had a dream about where to dig a well. They dug where she said. They hit water. Over a thousand people showed up to see it.

That is the faith I grew up watching. That is the God I cannot stop talking about.
